1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using VoiceReader AI ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
2. License
VoiceReader AI grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes, subject to these Terms and the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.
3. Free Trial and One-Time Purchase
VoiceReader AI offers a 14-day free trial on all platforms. After the trial, the App is available as a one-time purchase:
- iPhone & iPad (iOS/iPadOS): $3.99 — unlocks the App on both iPhone and iPad.
- Mac (macOS): $7.99 — unlocks the Mac App.
Each purchase includes all current features, AI voices, iCloud sync, and future updates at no additional cost. No subscription is required.
4. iCloud Sync
VoiceReader AI uses iCloud to synchronize your imported documents and settings across your Apple devices. This sync happens directly through your iCloud account; VoiceReader AI does not operate any external server and has no access to your iCloud data.
5. User Content
You are solely responsible for the content you import into the App (articles, documents, PDFs, etc.). The App processes this content locally on your device. We do not access, store, or transmit your content to any external server.
6. Intellectual Property
The App, including its design, code, AI voice models, and all associated materials, is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or reverse-engineer any part of the App.
7. Prohibited Uses
You agree not to:
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to reverse-engineer or extract the AI voice models
- Redistribute or resell the App or its components
- Use the generated audio for commercial purposes without appropriate rights to the source text
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the App will be error-free or uninterrupted.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, VoiceReader AI shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or related to your use of the App.
10. Modifications
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
11. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of France, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
